I was at Ailomar this year and thoroughly enjoyed all the music, especially your arrangements on the spirituals. Bought that album and As Time Goes By. Great work. You are truly blessed. Sincerely, Karen

I was working on Orcas Island last week and missed my ferry back to the mainland. With three and a half hours till the next one, I went to the Orcas Hotel to get a drink and some dinner. I got much more than that when I walked in and heard you and your friends playing some of the tightest, improvised sets I have heard in years! I went home and told my wife all about it. Yesterday we jumped in our boat and headed back to see you together. We were rewarded with some additions that had not been there last week, young, and older, guy's that could really play. It was just amazing! Can't wait to return. It was great meeting you, thank you so much.

Love your music!
I have known your brother Jim for over 25 years. I almost made it to your dads 90t birthday, an made him te memory board through Jim's vision. I would have loved to have met you.
When you and your family come down to visit Jim, come on down to Thiels Music center and jam with my teacher Bob Nelson. You guys would be great together! Jazz standards plus!

Big time fan!

Your music is reminiscent of the late and fantastic pianist Ruben Gonzalez. Thank you for sharing your music on this website.

After years of wondering what had become of you, I finally Googled your name last night. Alas... there you are. What a pleasant surprise. After looking over your website and listening to some clips of your work, I realized how long it has been since I had the good fortune of making your acquaintance. It was thirty years ago this month that I first met you, while recording/producing an album of my songs – "Someday" – at Music Farm Studios, with a rather formidable rhythm section of Marc Seales, Moyes Lucas Jr. and David Peterson. It was my maiden voyage, and the four of us were relatively green in the studio, so somewhere in the process, Jim Wolfe suggested that I bring you in to embellish the project. Jim's suggestion was terrific; you added so much color (besides green) and musicality that I have remained extremely grateful ever since. Maybe we can do it again – "Someday." Meanwhile, all my very best wishes to you and your family.

And a quick note to Jim Wolfe, whose posting I saw here: Hope all is well with you and that your daily commitment to carrot juice (at least during the fall of 1978) has paid off with a life of fabulous health.

Where can I find "Lundscapes" on CD? Heard it a lot on 94.7 The Wave in Los Angeles in the mid-late 80's and never again since.

Missed you on Saturday at the Lake Quinault Lodge. Jimmy & Cindy, Tom & Dawn, and Marlene were there. Fred & Delores looked very good. They're both healthy. Delores is writing a book - she has 175 pages done.

I bought 2 of your CD's (Turtleback Mountain & Sketches of the Heart) for Stanley's birthday & myself. I especially enjoy Sketches. Good to hear you're busy and healthy. Take Care. . .

I thought it was pretty funny that Chuck Bates would comment on the punctuation! Seems to me he was always just about flunking English classes in school.
